Our industry is growing, and we are part of the action. We are expanding our site mechanical services team to support projects in the Alexandra region of the South Island.

About You:

A relevant Level 4 trade qualification is essential along with solid mechanical engineering skills and maintenance experience working in heavy industry. Whilst experience in power generation and/or heavy rotating plant is ideal it is not necessary if you are keen to learn a new industry. You’ll be involved with precision fitting and measuring work so someone looking to get out of a machine workshop and out on site could also be a great fit, along with:

• Team player with strong communication skills
• Commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures
• Flexibility to work extended and variable hours as and when required
• Ability to satisfactorily pass our pre-employment medical assessment including working at heights, confined spaces, with no restrictions to movement and be physically fit and active.
• You’ll ideally be located in the Roxburgh/ Alexandra/ Cromwell regions or willing to relocate. (If you live in the wider Otago area and are open to working away from home during the week give me a call to discuss how this could work.)

The Role:

Our teams are motivated and pull together to get their work done on time and to quality standards to impress our clients. As a Mechanical Fitter with us, you’ll enjoy being based out at our client sites, working on the installation of modern hydro turbine equipment, learning from industry leaders in hydro technology.

Currently we work 49 hours Monday to Friday. We pay OT rates for hours over 40 each week and 1 hour travel time per day at ordinary rate. In addition we offer Medical Insurance and KiwiSaver.
