Our Wairakei-based Industrial Coatings team are reputed for their quality work and strong team culture.

As a Sand Blaster/ Painter with us, you’ll enjoy a variety of jobs throughout the process including working on our own equipment, plant and structures, external clients’ equipment as well as on-site work. This could see you working on power stations, dairy sites, well heads, machinery and could even include boats.

You:

You could be experienced with industrial coatings, be looking to kick start your career, or interested in changing industry and retraining to learn in-demand skills. The non-negotiables are that you:

• Take pride in producing quality work

• Are motivated and committed to learn

• Have strong attention to detail

• Are a strong team player not afraid to speak up

• Enjoy physical, manual work and are comfortable “getting your hands dirty” in what can be a dirty and dusty job at times

• Are able to work extended and flexible hours as and when required (including periodic travel outside of Taupo)

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface preparation including sandblasting, mechanical cleaning and pressure washing

• Apply undercoats and finish coats using the full range of application methods (gravity fed, pressure pot and airless spray guns) and materials

• Industrial coating and corrosion protection

• Follow detailed project documents
