MB Century has a long history in the renewable energy sector, solid customer relationships and a strong pipeline of work ahead of us. Our mechanical field maintenance team support hydropower and geothermal projects across NZ, primarily the Central North Island.

You:

By joining our, Taupo based, Mechanical Fitting team, you’ll enjoy getting out to a variety of client sites, working with a close-knit team and taking pride in a job well done.

As a tradesperson, with experience in industrial plant/heavy machinery/workshops, you’ll be comfortable working under pressure, making independent decisions as well as together with the team, to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

You must bring:

• A level 4 trade qualification as a Fitter Turner, Fitter Machinist or equivalent
• Commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures
• An outside the box approach based on best practice standards
• Power generation maintenance experience will allow you to hit the ground running
• Flexibility to work extended and flexible hours, as and when required, including periodic work outside of Taupo

Industry tickets and licenses such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, HT (Class 2-4), Truck Mounted & Overhead Crane, Hiab would be desirable, but we offer training if you don’t.

The Role:

Joining a team performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, refurbishment, and general engineering in geothermal and hydro power generation, you’ll be completing critical measurements and carrying out precision alignments, working with large turbines, heavy rotating equipment, cranage, valves, pumps, fans, heat exchangers etc. Your days could also include on-site general fabrication, rigging, slinging, dogging and using overhead gantries.
