Our mechanical field maintenance team support industrial, hydropower and geothermal projects across NZ, primarily the Central North Island. As a Mechanical Fitter with us, you’ll enjoy getting out to a variety of client sites, working with a close-knit team and taking pride in a job well done.

You:

As a skilled tradesperson you’ll have earned the respect of your peers and leaders alike for your knowledge, ability to think clearly under pressure and for your willingness to support and guide your work team. This is a senior position for someone able to work unsupervised and ideally lead a team of 3-7 people.

You’ll fit right in if you offer:

• A Level 4 trade qualification as a Fitter Turner, Fitter Machinist or equivalent.

• Heavy Rotating Equipment / Industrial Plant maintenance experience in power generation sector or workshop management

• Hydropower maintenance experience will allow you to hit the ground running
• Natural leadership with strong engagement and communication skills

• Commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures

• Flexibility to work extended and flexible hours as and when required - including periodic work outside of Taupo

The Role:

Joining an experienced team performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, refurbishment and general engineering in geothermal and hydro power generation, you’ll be working with turbines, heavy rotating equipment, cranage, valves, pumps, fans, heat exchangers etc.
